After landing in Hollywood, it didn’t take long for Philadelphia native Elisa Perry (pronounced E-Lisa) to land the plum role of Miss Wilson, the principal on the seminal comedy Everybody Hates Chris. The petite thespian has continued making star turns ever since. As an actress, writer, and director who has worked with notable award-winning actors Denzel Washington, Brad Pitt, Colin Ferrell, Viola Davis, Maggie Gyllennal, Jeff Daniels and the late, great Cicely Tyson to name a few. She has worked with award winning directors such as, Steven Spielberg, James Gray, Scott Frank and Dan Gilroy. Elisa received a NAACP theatre nomination for her role as Delia in ‘Blues For An Alabama Sky”. As well as critical acclaim in A Raisin In The Sun and The Miracle Worker. She is developing half hour comedies based in her hometown of Philly. She recently directed Lillian Hellman’s “The Children’s Hour” at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. Elisa’s “passion for fashion and interior design” gave her the drive and enjoyment to also, serve as costume and set designer for this production.
